Interview
Why did you choose BDev Ventures as your investor and partner?
I chose BDev Ventures as my investor and partner because of the confidence Ropu instilled in me. Initially, I was under the impression that BDev would exclusively support my venture. However, I later discovered that they also invested in one of my competitors. Despite this, I remain positive about our partnership and the unique value they bring to my business.
How has BDev Ventures helped you grow your startup?
BDev has contributed to the growth of our startup primarily through instant lead generation. This approach is more of a mutually beneficial business arrangement than direct assistance. However, with the implementation of current marketing strategies, their support has proven to be significantly valuable in the development and expansion of our business.
Can you please share a specific situation where BDev Ventures added value to your startup?
BDev has made a significant contribution to our startup, evident in many ways. On one hand, conversations with Ropu, Nacho, and Paul have been immensely helpful, making me feel supported and accompanied at every step. On the other hand, a concrete example of their input was when Nacho, and then Paul in a call, presented us with a detailed list of marketing improvements. This advice is something tangible and direct, making a significant difference in our strategy. With partners like them, I’m confident that we can stand out and lead the human resources software industry in America.
Would you recommend BDev Ventures to other founders? Why?
I’d generally lean towards recommending BDev to other founders, given the considerable value they add. However, I’m faced with a bit of a dilemma since they also invested in one of my competitors. This experience makes me a bit cautious. So, I’m not in a position to give a definitive answer at this time.
Do you have advice for other startups considering partnering with BDev Ventures?
Absolutely, I do have some advice to share, but I’d prefer to offer it directly to those startups that are interested and reach out to me. I believe each situation is unique and deserves personalized attention.
